EL-1 competition held to celebrate Baku 2017 Games

EL-1 competition was held on February, 4 in Shaghan Sport Complex.  The start of competition was announced by the President of EL-1 Federation Elchin Chobanzade.

“EL-1 competition is an entertaining athletic performance. Heavyweight athletes are mostly represented in this sporting discipline. Even in Europe people are very excited about this competition. As a team we are working on the development of our federation. Today’s competition was held to show our support for Baku 2017 Islamic Games.” – said Elchin Chobanzade.

Deputy Aghacan Abiyev, Deputy Chief of Baku City Department of Youth and Sports Rashad Aliyev, Corporative Director of AISGOC Elchin Safarov also attended this event.

Mr. Aghacan Abiyev said: “Our athletes are participating in different sporting event, in Olympic Games, of course we expect great results from them.

Rashad Aliyev said: “Achievements of our athletes create image of our country. I am always happy to hear about their success.”
“Nowadays our country is known as a sporting country. We have athletes, sport fans and sport volunteers. Every one of us does everything he or she can for our country. I wish a tremendous success to everyone who work hard for the Games.

At the end of competition there was the awarding ceremony and photo call with fans.
